Hello! I am so glad you found my website and would love the opportunity to work with you to build a better relationship with your dog.
I grew up in a family of champion dog breeders, sport/working dog training, and law enforcement. My first memory as a baby was being gently set down on the grass, covered with puppies and them licking my face and chewing on my hair.
(Now that I think about it...what were you thinking mom & dad?)
The foundation was set!
I honestly don't remember "becoming" a dog trainer, I just always assumed I was one? I grew up with a leash in my hand, picking up dog poop, and a lot of lint rollers laying around. My love and passion for animals has taken me in some very interesting directions in life and I can't wait to see where it takes me next. I'm a little dorky (a self-proclaimed nerd) and have learned to laugh at myself a lot! (Especially when dealing with working dogs who have knocked my right on my arse)
I am very direct with people and probably curse a little to much so if your super sensitive, I might not be the perfect match for you, but you will always know where I stand on things which moves training along quickly since there is know tip-toeing involved.
While on my personal career journey I ran into was a lot of different personalities in the dog world. There's a pretty common say among trainers that basically the only thing 2 dog trainers can agree on is the that the third dog trainer is doing it all wrong..
My goals is to be a non-intimidating honest trainer that the average dog owner can feel comfortable with, and relate to. A trainer should be someone that you feel comfortable asking questions about your dog behavior without feeling embarrassed or lazy, or just like your doing it all wrong.
I never want a client to lie to me or to make an excuses to avoid a lesson because you just didn't have time this week for puppy training and your embarrassed.
I want to create a class where you can be yourself.
I will NEVER tell you that I know everything! Nobody should tell you they are an expert. I learn something new every day and that is why I love what I do!
I understand that training can be frustrating, but it can be fun too.
The better relationship you have with your dog, the more fun you will have on a day to day basis.
There is something very satisfying when you and your dog are in sync and working together for a better life.
When you feel in control of your dog, you can relax and enjoy him/her.
I don't believe It's my way or the highway. I want to give you tools and information to help you succeed.
Feel free to call and set up a free consultation. I would love to give you the opportunity to make your relationship with your dog the best it can be.
Better yet, let's grab coffee and talk about your dog
